quirk[s]

Siopao_1 came across the word only recently. for odd reasons, i like the ring of it. perhaps because I only know few words beginning with letter number 17. OR it’s the thrill of learning the meaning of an unfamiliar word.

… how many people do you know spends time to think about herself just so she can pay tribute to a ‘word’. yes, a ‘WORD’.

… have you ever met

a filipino who doesn’t have the least idea what a siopao tastes like? NO CLUE whatsoever, merely because she vehemently refuses to have a taste of this food by virtue of its being WHITE… yet she eats white rice, hard boiled eggs, ‘palitao’, ’singkamas’, buko meat and other white food …fresh lumpia? she doesn’t eat those either. and she claims that she doesn’t discriminate!?!
someone who goes to a japanese restaurant and never samples sushi or sashimi; BUT orders beef dishes instead? couldn’t even show a little respect to the master makers of sushis/makis
someone who goes to "chicken place" but orders pork belly without fail…?
someone who goes to a "pizza place" but orders chicken?
someone who has no qualms about the idea of watching movies all by herself but quivers at the thought of having company even with officemates? [NOT a quirk, vet.. you're thinking of something else--anyhow, just let it slide...]
someone who writes long letters to past-not-recently-spoken-nor-seen acquaintance/friend just to let out steam for anger or frustration felt at a given moment [to unlucky recipients, vet begs your pardon -- to lucky ones -- well, fortunately for you guys, they're either unsent or thrown to the garbage after being written]
someone who is so into a dead abe lincoln.

question: idiosyncrasies or idiocies?
