opinion: changed

a friend back in college invited me to join friendster sometime october 2003. not wanting to offend the said friend by rejecting the invite, i accepted and joined the <group!?!?>. initially, you wouldn’t find anything on my page. except perhaps my footprints. neither would you chance on me surfing the site. the reactant me believed that joining the group was tantamount to a person relinquishing her basic right to privacy. add to that was my responsibility over my writers. i thought i wouldn’t have the authority to reprimand them from frequently visiting the site if i myself does the same thing. it was several several months after that curiosity got the better of me.

perspective changed when i saw old friends from way back. more so because of the delight of seeing them getting ahead with their lives. perhaps because i live vicariously that i take pleasure in seeing friends and acquaintances putting their marks on the globe. i’m honestly proud that some of them are out there circling the country, and the globe. i’m honestly happy seeing those little women became mothers. i’m equally happy that there are also some of us who remain unchanged despite the passing years.

mein, i’m so hoping i’d be well enough to see all these guys in person again after 10 years. four more nights till our high school reunion. i wonder if people are actually coming, haven’t heard any buzz lately.
