it’s so interesting how things come at unexpected moments. take last night as example.
right after a game of billiards [no, i didn't play. well, i haven't touched a cue stick in all my soon-to-be 28 years of my life] and dinner, i went back to MIT to wait up for jen. after several minutes of waiting, an officemate came out of nowhere and approached me. he and another officemate were hanging out at the nearby store and he saw me alone sitting on the steps of the building. i was all alone and from his vintage point, he thought i had a problem and probably in need of someone to talk to. wow! yeah, i’m often alone or on my own that scenes like what my officemate observed last night are my norm. anyway, the gesture was so touching that my admiration level to this kid is up several notches.
